Dance Class Furlough

Lola has stopped her dance classes until next Fall. Instead, every Friday night, she and I will have dance class at home. We did our first class yesterday, and it went very well. We both put on our dance clothes (thanks to Josh for finding mine in deep drawers!) and turned on the Handel. I found out that one of the secrets to keeping her attention is that she must have interpretive or creative content mixed in with the basic steps. We pretended to be fairies and lions. I'm sure that in the Fall she will be much more mature, and less liable to be stressed out by a class without Mom!
